Rae Chrysalis is a dancer, flow artist, and embodiment guide with over 30 years of performance experience. Classically trained in ballet, contemporary, jazz, and other styles, she discovered silk fans in 2018 and developed her own signature style — Silk Fan Fusion — blending classical technique with flow arts and soulful expression. She has toured with artists like Seven Lions and Ayla Nereo, and performed at festivals including Burning Man, Shambhala, and Lightning in a Bottle.
Through Chrysalis Silk Studies, Rae has taught thousands of students across 60 countries — not just technique, but a practice of embodied authenticity and self-expression. Her approach draws on her education in transformative ritual work to create spaces that are both skill-building and soul-nourishing.
Beyond dance technique, Rae guides people through embodiment courses and immersions that use movement, somatic exploration, archetypal choreography, and ritual art to release emotional blocks and reconnect with the body's innate wisdom. Her work holds space especially for those wanting to shed self-consciousness, access their sensual nature, and find their most authentic expression. She believes, at her core, that movement is medicine.
