Privacy Policy

Overview

Lineage ("we", "us", "our") operates lineage.coach, a practice management and directory platform for transformational coaches, healers, and guides. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We designed Lineage to minimize the data we collect. We do not sell personal data, we do not run advertising, and we do not share information with third parties except as narrowly described below to operate the service.

Information we collect

Account information

When you create or claim a Lineage account, we collect your name, email address, and practice details you choose to add to your public profile (bio, photo, offerings, location, approach, testimonials).

Client and booking data

If you use Lineage to manage your coaching practice, we store records you create: clients, sessions, invoices, notes, messages, contracts, packages, and other practice data. This data belongs to you and is visible only to you and, where applicable, the client it relates to.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. We store Stripe customer and account identifiers so we can reconcile invoices and subscriptions.

Usage and device data

We log basic request information (IP address, user agent, timestamp, page path) to operate the service, debug issues, and protect against abuse. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

How we use Google user data

Lineage offers an optional Google Calendar integration. If you choose to connect your Google Calendar, we request the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events OAuth scope. Here is exactly how we use the access you grant:

• Reading your availability. We query the Google Calendar Free/Busy API for the date ranges a client is viewing on your booking page, so we can show accurate open slots and avoid double-booking.
• Creating events. When a client books a session with you through Lineage, we create a corresponding event on your primary Google Calendar so the booking appears alongside the rest of your schedule. For virtual sessions, we request that Google attach a Google Meet link to the event.
• Updating events. If a booking is rescheduled inside Lineage, we update the corresponding Google Calendar event so your calendar stays in sync.
• Cancelling events. If a booking is cancelled, we delete the corresponding Google Calendar event.

Lineage's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

• We use Google user data only to provide the calendar features described above.
• We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve these features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition (in which case binding privacy protections follow the data).
• We do not use Google user data to serve advertising.
• We do not allow humans to read Google user data, except: (a) with your explicit consent, (b) for security purposes such as investigating abuse, (c) to comply with applicable law, or (d) for internal operations where the data is aggregated and anonymized.

You can revoke Lineage's access to your Google Calendar at any time from your Google Account permissions page, or by disconnecting inside Lineage under Settings.

How we store information

Lineage runs on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Account, practice, and booking data is stored in Cloudflare D1 (SQLite) and profile images in Cloudflare R2 object storage, both within Cloudflare's global network. OAuth tokens (including Google refresh tokens) are stored encrypted at rest and transmitted only over TLS.

How we share information

We share information only with service providers strictly necessary to operate Lineage:

• Cloudflare — hosting, database, object storage.
• Stripe — payment processing and payouts.
• Postmark — transactional email (magic-link login, booking notifications, invoice emails).
• Google — only when you connect your calendar, and only as described above.
• Recall.ai — optional meeting recording and transcription, only if you enable it on a session.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share information for advertising purposes.

Your rights and choices

• Access / export: Email us and we will provide a copy of the data associated with your account.
• Correction: Most information is editable from your Lineage dashboard.
• Deletion: Email us and we will delete your account and associated data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records for legal or tax purposes.
• Google data: Disconnect your Google Calendar at any time. Upon disconnection we delete the stored refresh token and stop querying your calendar. Event IDs we previously created on your calendar remain on your calendar under your control.

Children

Lineage is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
