Father Michael Butler is an Orthodox priest, pastoral counselor, and men's coach with over 30 years of experience guiding men through major life transitions—identity crises, career pivots, relationship breakdowns, and the quiet desperation of feeling stuck.
Fr. Mike's path wasn't a straight line. At 49, a panic attack forced him to confront whether he was living by his own values or by everyone else's expectations. That reckoning shaped everything about how he works with men today. His academic background—a BA in Archetypal Psychology, an MA in Theology, and a PhD in Church History and Patristics—gives his approach unusual depth, weaving together masculine archetypes, spiritual formation, and practical accountability.
Through Avg2Alpha, he works with men who've achieved what they were supposed to achieve but feel something essential is missing.
