Dawn Philips-Naaia is the founder and Practice Director of HAVEN, a Brooklyn-based holistic bodywork collective she established in 2017. A Licensed Massage Therapist since 2005, she brings over 20 years of hands-on experience to a deeply specialized practice that weaves together CranioSacral Therapy, SomatoEmotional Release, and IFS-Informed Manual Somatic Therapy — a modality she developed herself.
Her work is particularly well-suited for people navigating trauma (in its many forms), chronic illness, grief, anxiety, depression, and addiction recovery. Rather than asking clients to re-live painful experiences, Dawn's approach helps the nervous system quietly process what's been stored in the body — using gentle touch, IFS-informed dialogue, breathwork, and somatic meditation to cultivate presence and ease.
Dawn's own healing path — including losing both parents at a young age and years of personal recovery — gives her practice a grounded, deeply empathetic quality. She is committed to inclusive, trauma-sensitive care for LGBTQIA+ individuals, people of color, and anyone seeking a stronger mind-body connection. Outside the treatment room, she holds a BFA in Photography and completed a residency at the Royal College of Art in London.
