Dawn Geoppinger is a trauma-informed grief and embodiment coach based in Portland, Oregon, where she founded The Embodied Grief Journey™ to offer people a different way through loss. Rather than talking grief into submission, she works with the body—using somatic movement, breathwork, and nervous system practices grounded in Polyvagal Theory to help people feel what they're carrying and find steadiness again.
Her work weaves together body-based tools, mindfulness, reflective journaling, and subtle energy practices to support people navigating the death of loved ones, major life transitions, caregiving burnout, and the quieter griefs that don't fit neatly into timelines or expectations. Dawn's clients tend to be deeply caring people—caregivers, teachers, healers—who have always been the strong one for others and now need a place to be held themselves.
Sessions are offered virtually across Oregon and beyond. She also partners with Portland Community College to teach courses in somatic gardening and memoir writing as pathways for grief processing, bridging science and soul in everything she offers.
