David Millar is a men's coach, husband, father of four, and founder of Mantra Menswork. A former elite-level Judo athlete and 3rd Dan black belt, he spent years honing himself for competition — but life after sport brought him to rock bottom, leaving him burnt out, disconnected, and struggling to make sense of who he was as a man, husband, and father. It wasn't until he discovered men's work and community that he began rebuilding from the inside out.
Drawing on psychology, emotional regulation, and practical structure, David helps men who appear successful on the outside but struggle within to move beyond overwhelm, overthinking, and self-doubt — into clarity, confidence, and real leadership. His background as an elite athlete taught him discipline; his experience as a husband and father taught him compassion; his own dark times gave him truth.
David offers 1:1 coaching, couples coaching, and group programmes including The Connected Man — a 70-day live coaching programme for men ready to take responsibility and repair their marriages. He works with men to integrate their shadow, break limiting patterns, and lead their lives with integrity.
