Christian Hubicki is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering in Tallahassee, FL, where he leads the Optimal Robotics Laboratory. His research focuses on legged robotics, applied optimal control, and biomechanical modeling.
He earned his BS and MS from Bucknell University and his dual-degree PhD in Robotics and Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University, completing postdoctoral work at Georgia Tech. He is a nationally recognized speaker, having received a Gilbreth Lectureship from the National Academy of Engineering in 2020, and is also known for his appearance on CBS's Survivor.
