Brittany Piper is a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner and speaker who helps trauma survivors heal through the body. Her own recovery from complex trauma — including foster care, losing a sibling, and surviving sexual assault — led her to somatic healing after years of talk therapy left her feeling stuck and disconnected.
With over 10,000 hours of hands-on work across 18 years and three continents, Brittany integrates Somatic Experiencing®, polyvagal theory, Internal Family Systems, and attachment theory into her work. Her core belief: trauma lives in the nervous system, not just the story, and lasting healing happens body-first — not through rehashing the past.
She has facilitated trauma-informed programs for the U.S. Military, the Department of Justice, universities, and crisis centers in Uganda, South Africa, India, and Mexico. A nationally recognized advocate on sexual violence prevention, she speaks to 30,000+ people annually and is the author of Body-First Healing, a somatic roadmap to trauma recovery.
