Amy Hagerstrom is a licensed clinical social worker and somatic therapist offering online sessions to adults in Florida and Illinois. She works with people who have done plenty of talking about their struggles but still feel trauma, anxiety, and chronic stress living in their bodies — as tension, fatigue, emotional overwhelm, or a persistent sense of being stuck.
Her path into somatic work came from her own healing journey. After years of traditional therapy, it was bringing her body into the process that finally allowed lasting change. That experience shapes how she works: at a pace that respects the nervous system, with care for the vulnerability this kind of work requires.
Amy's practice is grounded in Somatic Experiencing (SE), a body-based approach that helps the nervous system process and release stored stress. She also offers the Safe and Sound Protocol and Rest and Restore Protocol. Before becoming a therapist, she spent years in yoga and therapeutic massage — a background that deeply informs how she listens to the body.
