About Abby
Abby King is a Certified Divorce Coach based in Philadelphia who came to this work through her own experience of divorce and single parenting. After a career in marketing and copywriting for companies like Jones Apparel Group and L'Oreal, she found herself navigating divorce firsthand — and began writing personal essays about the experience that resonated deeply with readers who reached out for guidance.
What started as informal support became a calling. Abby became a Certified Divorce Coach to formalize what she was already doing: helping people get through the practical and emotional complexity of divorce without losing themselves in the process. She's also a trained mediator, offering a neutral space for couples to work toward mutually beneficial agreements.
Abby's approach is grounded and pragmatic. She helps clients get organized, think clearly, avoid common pitfalls, and show up as their best selves — even in the hardest moments. Her goal is to help clients reach the other side of divorce with their dignity intact and their new life ready to begin.

"Very impressive Abby. I applaud you. It is not easy and no one tells you about all the stuff you have to deal with post-divorce."

"'Holding onto family in the post divorce world' (July 13, 2015) helped me to understand that I am not alone in what I would like to happen moving forward from this wicked divorce. Thank you for the words to encourage me and to know I am not alone."
